WP:UAA reports on users with no edits
Generally, there is no reason to report usernames with no edits whatsoever. Per WP:UAAI: "Only report accounts with edits and do not report those with no edits in the preceding 2 weeks. Do not report a user that has not edited or has not edited in the preceding 2 weeks, except for an instance of an egregious name violation. We do not want to welcome productive editors with a report at UAA, nor do we want to waste time dealing with accounts that may never be used." The exceptions are obvious hate speech or names that attack a living person/Wikipedia editor, those are blockable even without any edits, but other run-of-the-mill violations such as names of organizations or products need not be reported unless and until they at least attempt to edit, and you should be able to clearly explain what the problem is if it is not immediately evident.
For whatever reason, every day dozens, if not hundreds of accounts are created that never make one single edit. It is our responsibility as admins to conscientiously review every report a user makes at UAA, so we have to check for contribs, deleted contribs, and tripping of the edit filter for every one of these reports, only to find out there's nothing there and therefore no problem to be solved. That's time that could be spent doing more productive things, but you basically obligate admins to do it by making such reports. - There is a still areas missing citations. If no information is available about them, you can either wait for them to be released or remove them from the draft until the information is available, considering the list can't be completed before it is published due to the nature of the list. ABG (Talk/Report any mistakes here) 00:19, 29 November 2024 (UTC)
- Come again. There are 140 citations and lead doesn't need citations as it's not a topic, but list extracted from 2025 in spaceflight to remove the load and stress of users while traversing to different sections as in 2024 in spaceflight for List of spaceflight launches in January–June 2024. As per my knowledge these are list articles that don't need citations for headers, so they have leads without citations but have humongous amount of citations in section other than lead.@AlphaBetaGamma —⚰️NΛSΛ B1058 (TALK) 09:02, 29 November 2024 (UTC)

Thank you for reviewing my draft. I have made edits to the Draft:Jason_Mershon based on your comments, and appreciate if you could take a look and see if I have resolved the issues. As a note, I removed the "In Popular Culture" section for now as it wasn't clear to me if I just need to add the book citations (reuse the 3, 4, 5 references), or if there was another type of citation that is needed for the "In Popular Culture" section. Justification for the Biography of Jerzy Filar Submission and Editorial Explanations
The biography concerns a distinguished mathematician and academic teacher who has made significant contributions to game theory and has worked at multiple universities across different countries. After retiring from academia, he successfully transitioned to writing science fiction novels.
Substantive Justification
Scientific Contributions – The individual has made notable achievements in mathematics, particularly in game theory. His work has been cited in academic literature, as confirmed by references to his publications and citations of his research.
Academic Career – He has worked at numerous universities in different countries, demonstrating his international recognition and influence on the global development of mathematics.
Literary Work – Following his retirement, he successfully pursued science fiction writing, making him an influential figure not only in the field of science but also in culture.
Editorial Aspects and Source References
All the information presented in the biography is well-documented, with references placed correctly at the end of sentences where possible.
The adopted citation style aligns with best practices for articles on scientists and academic professionals. It references:
- The individual's homepage at the university where he was last employed, serving as a reliable source of information about his academic career.
- His academic publications and works that cite his contributions.
Given the above, I believe the biography meets Wikipedia’s substantive and editorial standards and deserves acceptance. If there are specific facts that the editors believe require additional documentation, I kindly request a clear and thorough indication of them. KSz at OWPTM (talk) 14:47, 30 January 2025 (UTC)
- @KSz at OWPTM: There are two separate policies in play here: WP:NACADEMIC and WP:Biographies of living persons. While it's likely you've met the former, you most certainly have not met the requirements of the latter, which requires that every claim a reasonable person could realistically challenge be cited to a third-party source that explicitly corroborates it. You have one source for the "Biography" section (and it's after the first sentence, leaving the rest of it unsourced), none of the bullets in the "Academic career" section are sourced, your last paragraph in "Research impacts" is completely unsourced, and the last paragraph in "Science Fiction Novelist" needs to be removed wholesale as editorialising or properly attributed as a quote to the source it cites. —Jéské Couriano v^_^v threads critiques 17:27, 30 January 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for your remarks and suggestion. I will follow your requirement. However, the research impact is a consequence of the paper published by JAF which are cited by many researchers. The most cited papers and book are shown in the references.
- The last sentence could be write: In the tradition of the Mathematical Genealogy, which traces the lineage of academic mentorship through generations, he is both humbled and honored to count luminaries such as Galileo Galilei, Isaac Newton, and Ronald Fisher among his distinguished intellectual forebears. So, it is not quote from a book but conclusion of the analysis the MGP. I have added the link to the Genealogy Tree prepared by the portal MGP for the JAF. It should be enough clear now. KSz at OWPTM (talk) 20:08, 30 January 2025 (UTC)
- @Jéské Couriano As mentioned above, in another words: the last sentence in Jerzy Andrzej Filar BIO is not directly related to his novel. The last sentence could be written:
- In the tradition of Mathematical Genealogy, which traces the lineage of academic mentorship through the generations, Jerzy A. Filar presents himself as both humbled but also honored to count luminaries such as Galileo Galilei, Isaac Newton and Ronald Fisher among his distinguished intellectual ancestors. This is due to his works as well as his cultivation of a tradition of mathematical research methodology and intergenerational cooperation.
- So this is not a quote from a book, but the conclusion of MGP's tree analysis. I have added a link to this tree prepared by the MGP portal for JAF. Now it should be clear enough, I suppose. KSz at OWPTM (talk) 20:24, 30 January 2025 (UTC)

Findagrave
When can Findagrave be used as a reliable source, if not to show where a grave is located? Because Ancestry.com is blocked. K72ndst (talk) 01:15, 13 February 2025 (UTC)
- Although WP:FINDAGRAVE-EL says "Almost never", for most editors it's a "never cite this" thing. Even if it were used as a source, it is not reliable at all because it is user-generated. (This logic is also used to discourage people from citing Wikipedia in Wikipedia) ABG (Talk/Report any mistakes here) 01:20, 13 February 2025 (UTC)
- That's interesting. So if a user stands at a subject's grave, takes a photo of it, it cannot be cited because "it is user-generated." And to cite a book from the 19th century is viewed as a "reliable source."? K72ndst (talk) 01:53, 15 February 2025 (UTC)

Draft:Rassolov Ilya Mikhailovich
Dear @AlphaBetaGamma , I recently submitted an article for publication in the English version of Wikipedia, but it was rejected with the comment: "The content of this article includes material that does not meet Wikipedia's minimum standards for inline citations. Please cite your sources using footnotes." I would like to clarify whether this is related only to the formatting of the references or if the sources I used in the article are not suitable for verifying the facts in the biography (or other content). I tried to carefully gather reliable information and am eager to contribute to the development of Wikipedia. If the issue is indeed with the formatting of the references, I would appreciate any additional explanations or specific recommendations for improving the article. I am also ready to review the sources if they do not meet the platform’s requirements. Thank you in advance for your help and support! I look forward to receiving feedback so I can revise the material and bring it up to Wikipedia’s standards. P.crafter (talk) 18:18, 13 February 2025 (UTC)
- This draft was likely declined (this review was weeks ago) because several paragraphs are unsourced. For example,
I.M. Rassolov demonstrated that Digital law constitutes an emerging subfield of Information law. In his works, it is asserted that Digital law is finite, whereas the theory of Cyber law will remain applicable in the future (the author's concept of the «coordinate grid»), when the interaction between humans and robots will not only be digital and not limited to it.
is entirely unsourced, and there are several more of those. ABG (Talk/Report any mistakes here) 22:21, 13 February 2025 (UTC)- Thank you. Unapproved paragraphs have been removed from the text. New references have been added. P.crafter (talk) 22:03, 21 February 2025 (UTC)

2 last sections
What do you mean by two last sections are not cited or sourced in draft:U.S. Route 78 in Tennessee that you reject? Are you talking about references and see also or TN 4 and TN 278? 69.1.59.248 (talk) 14:40, 23 February 2025 (UTC)
- Also I can’t put a google map link of US 78 due of the off ramp and on ramp closures on I-55 exit 12 that carries Us 78 from the interstate to Crump Bivd. It’s impossible right now until exit 12 project is complete. 69.1.59.248 (talk) 14:42, 23 February 2025 (UTC)
- One more thing, if the sources that need to be fixed to get the article approved it again, can you help me or fix the problem. I do have a cognitive disorder. My mind can’t function to read and write unless it’s something interesting to me. I hope it isn’t something boring. Also the patience of waiting for the article of being approved is effecting my mental health by the way. 69.1.59.248 (talk) 14:49, 23 February 2025 (UTC)
- A bad news is that some of the Articles for Creations drafts can take months to be reviewed. I'd be willing to help you right now, but it's 23:51 in my location here. By the way, by "2 last sections", I actually meant 2 subsections in "Related routes". Apologies for the confusing comment. ABG (Talk/Report any mistakes here) 14:53, 23 February 2025 (UTC)
- What’s wrong with SR 4 and SR 278? The google map lengths were put in the article and also cited. I tried to find TDOT websites of these two routes, but those websites are long gone. There’s one TDOT website (https://www.tn.gov/tdot.html), but it doesn’t tell about the length of the routes. It only talks about the hurricane routes and active projects. They do have “Official Transportation Map,” but it never reveals the updated length of the route, it just shows the map of the entire state of all routes without the length given. 69.1.59.248 (talk) 15:04, 23 February 2025 (UTC)
- It turns at every primary highways in Tennessee started at 1923 started in October 1st and every secondary highways started in July 1st, 1983 according to the sources I find, I submitted the article for reapproval. 69.1.59.248 (talk) 16:00, 23 February 2025 (UTC)
- I re-looked at the sections, and yes, the infobox is correctly sourced. Does the PDF given in the infobox say "SR 278 will be decommissioned"? I couldn't find them, and the closest thing I found was "A section of US 78 will be decommissioned due to reroutes" kind of statement. ABG (Talk/Report any mistakes here) 23:44, 23 February 2025 (UTC)
- Google maps no longer shows SR 278 since the rerouting of the route. But if you can think this was wrong, you can fix it after approving the article. 69.1.59.248 (talk) 00:06, 24 February 2025 (UTC)
- To be honest, I am still unable to grasp the standards for these kind of articles. In my opinion, I can't find sources that mainly give significant coverage for the section. I'd have instantly gave it a green flag if I saw around 2 reliable sources doing that, but I'm currently stuck on if this will survive a WP:AfD, because I'm not sure if I can properly oppose if someone complains that "notability is not inherited". - I just fix and made SR 278 present. You can now approve the article. 69.1.59.248 (talk) 00:17, 24 February 2025 (UTC)
- What happened? Did I do something wrong all because the confusion of SR 278 which I just fixed and made the route a present route? Did I messed up? 69.1.59.248 (talk) 01:14, 24 February 2025 (UTC)

Question from Ki-arin (08:06, 11 March 2025)
Its named “Draft:Jóan Petur Samson Jónsson” hoe do i delede the “Draft:” part --Ki-arin (talk) 08:06, 11 March 2025 (UTC)
- Well, technically you can't for now. You have to be autoconfirmed to move pages, and that includes moving a draft into mainspace (where the articles are located). I advise you to submit drafts to WP:AFC, as nearly all articles made by a very new editor ends up getting deleted. In AFC, a human reviewer will check if the draft complies with Wikipedia policies enough that it won't be deleted in a few days. I can assist with name changes for now :) ABG (Talk/Report any mistakes here) 11:24, 11 March 2025 (UTC)

Draft:Swiss Association of Art Historians
Hello,
Thank you for reviewing this article. I have added many adequate sources: 21 references (for a very short article), of these 8 are published and respected newspaper (ex. Neue Zürcher Zeitung, Revue et collection d'architecture et d'art...), 10 are reliable and independent online sources, and only 3 refer to the website of the Association.
Do you think it can be accepted now? Otherwise please let me know how I can improve this article from here. Best regards Tressbo59 (talk) 09:34, 14 March 2025 (UTC)

Draft:DJ_Sackmann
Hello! Thank you for reviewing Draft:DJ Sackmann. I happened upon this draft article, written by a different author, which you had originally rejected. I did some work to improve upon it, adding content and citations. I also believe that DJ Sackmann's recent work as head coach in Unrivaled, and the related coverage, means that he now meets notability guidelines. If you have time and interest, I would love it if you could review this again and see if it's ready to be accepted. Thank you very much! Cbogsin (talk) 14:21, 17 March 2025 (UTC)

Hello. I cant make a wikipedia page. Can you help me? Please --Mycroatia (talk) 13:20, 19 March 2025 (UTC)
- Hello! Unfortunately very new editors are barred from creating new pages (the irony, we get it.), so you'll have to submit drafts through Articles for Creation. A detailed step-by-step instruction should be found there. I also noticed you drafted in your user page - I moved it to the draft namespace for several reasons that may be confusing to a newcomer. hello, why i cannot move the wikipedia page i am working on from sandbox to public yet? and how to save the changes/edits? thank you --IamKaF (talk) 13:50, 23 March 2025 (UTC)

Hello, what are best practices for editing and suggesting changes? --Chudjak99 (talk) 01:36, 30 March 2025 (UTC)
- There are many ways to find a page to edit, but I'll introduce you to two for know. If you have newcomer homepage enabled (which should be on by start), There should be a home page button next to "User page" and "Talk" buttons on the top of your user page. from there you should be able to find a page that suggests edits for you.
- Another method is using User:SuggestBot. Instructions are on the bot's page, so click the blue link. ABG (Talk/Report any mistakes here) 07:34, 30 March 2025 (UTC)
French artillery during World War I
Could you please explain what you meant by "improperly sourced" when you declined Draft:French artillery during World War I? I see 211 inline citations to a long list of primary and secondary sources. – Joe (talk) 13:50, 31 March 2025 (UTC)
- Sorry about that. Since the decline was in January, I think that was before SafariScribe or someone else warned me about overusing v or ilc reasons and I started taking more time when not quivk-failing drafts. AlphaBetaGamma (Talk/report any mistakes here) 00:15, 2 April 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for the response. If you know you've declined things incorrectly in the past, I think you really have a responsibility to go back and correct them. Real people have put a lot of work into these drafts, and in many cases they will give up after the first decline – especially if it's for reasons that don't make sense. – Joe (talk) 08:05, 2 April 2025 (UTC)
